In complying with these Acts, Stephanie Cosgrove Podiatry Clinics recognise each persons’ right to both confidentiality and privacy.

Australian law sets out stringent codes to protect your personal information. Client files and personal data are stored securely in servers on Australian soil.  These servers are maintained by the providers of Practice Management software such as Nookal and Pracsuite. Client consultation records are also securely stored.  Access is clinical areas is limited to clinicians within the podiatry practice.  Reports, such as progress notes a referring doctor, are shared via purpose built secure messaging.  Specifically, this is Medical Objects Secure Messaging.

Furthermore, we respect the confidentiality of your personal information that you may input via this website and via contact forms. As such:

  • Only relevant personal information will be retained.
  • You can request the release of your information by contacting us.
  • Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without consent.
  • If you are accessing Medicare rebates via an Enhanced Primary Care [EPC] Plan, the document that you sign at the GP surgery permits the sharing of your medical data in both directions. The doctor will disclose the reason for the referral, such as symptoms. In some cases, they may disclose all of your medical history. This is a matter to discuss with the referring practitioner.
  • An allied health practitioner, treating you under an EPC referral is obliged to send reports of your progress back to the referrer.
  • This web-site and the free information sheets contained herein can be accessed without requiring the disclosure of your personal information.
